How to get to Tanauan City, Batangas

Tanauan City Proper is located on the southeastern border of the city and is traversed by the Pres. J.P. Laurel Highway linking Tanauan to Manila on the north for about 68 kilometers and is accessible via the South Luzon Expressway and to Batangas Coty 45 kilometers to the south by means of the STAR (Southern Tagalog Arterial Road) Tollway.

FROM CUBAO, QUEZON CITY (VIA BUS RIDE):
Tanauan City is just 67 kilometers away from Cubao. To get to the City, you can take a bus going to Lipa-Tanauan. For a matter of 130 pesos fare (in an airconditioned bus) and an hour ride, you can reach Tanauan City. The bus will take South Luzon Expressway to STAR Tollway.
 
FROM TURBINA, CALAMBA CITY:
There are two options: bus and jeepney. A bus, however, will take a little time to get to your destination since Turbina fills the bus before it travels but will cost you less for like 15 to 20 pesos. If you chose jeepney, you can just ride easily for the jeepneys with signboard Lipa and Tanauan are traversing along the Turbina. The fare here costs around 23 to 25 pesos.
 
FROM BATANGAS CITY:
Batangas City is 44 kilometers from Tanauan City and will take you just 30 – 40 minutesl. To get to Tanauan City, head east on Evangelista toward P. Canlapan, turn left onto P. Hererra to the National Road and turn right to STAR Tollway. Take the exit toward Mabini Avenue and turn left onto J.P. Laurel Highway.
 
FROM LIPA CITY, BATANGAS (VIA JEEPNEY):
There are points from the entire city that will take you to Tanauan City. If you’re from Lipa City proper (Palengke), ride a jeepney from the Public Market or from Plaza Independencia, just in front of San Sebastian Cathedral. If you’re from the uptown (Robinson’s Supermarket, BigBen, Lipa Bus Stop) take a Jeepney going to Tanauan or Calamba. Both places, uptown and downtown, has fare of 15 to 16 pesos.
 
OTHER POINTS OF BATANGAS:
 
FROM LAIYA, CALATAGAN, BATANGAS:
Laiya is known for white sand beach resorts attracting tourists. From beach resorts in Brgy. Laiya, you have to take a personal vehicle or a readily-available tricycles to get to San Juan, Batangas Town Proper. A tricycle ride will cost you more since it’s kilometers away from the town proper. Without a traffic, Brgy. Laiya to San Juan Town Proper will take you 30 – 45 minutes ride. From San Juan, Batangas Town Proper, take a UV Express Van going to Lipa City that will cost you around 75 pesos. It drop offs at Lipa City Bus Stop, then take Tanauan or Calamba Crossing jeepney costs around 25 pesos.
 
FROM ROSARIO, BATANGAS:
Take a UV Express Van from Rosario, Batangas to Lipa City or a jeepney that will cost you around 20 pesos. From Lipa Bus Stop, take Tanauan or Calamba Crossing jeepney costs around 25 pesos.
