Alert Level 2 was raised over Taal Volcano and a possible eruption is feared due to the rising of magma on the surface and an increase in seismic activity. This was reported by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The alert level was raised yesterday, April 9 as a warning to the locals living within the danger zone. With the apparent changes within the volcano, Phivolcs advised the people settling near the Taal Volcano for a voluntary evacuation.
