SMART Communications Inc. through its Community Care Program, brought another worthwhile project for the people of San Vicente, Banay-Banay, Lipa City. The project entitled Ganda Mo, Hanap Buhay Ko is a basic cosmetology training program which taught the locals of the said community of cosmetology skills such as haircutting, hair coloring, foot spa, and even makeup application.
Today marks the end of the training as the 56 trainees had their graduation, which made all their efforts pay off. Their accomplishment was attested by the awarding of the cosmetology kits and certificates.
Ang-Hortaleza Foundation provided the cosmetology kit used by the trainees in their one week training which started last Monday, Dec. 6. The training also included lectures on basic spa treatment. As their practical exam, the trainees done actual hair cutting for the pupils of Banay-Banay Elementary School.
The graduation included testimonials from some of the trainees and a few performances as well. SMART surely knows how to help people create fruitful ends from opportunities they provide to the community.
This community program was made possible through the partnership of Smart Communications Inc. and Ang-Hortaleza Foundation in cooperation with M.A. Sabili Foundation (as represented by Lipa City’s First Lady, Mrs. Bernadette Sabili), St. Vincent Ferrer Parish Social Action Committee, and Pusong Pinoy.
