The Province of Batangas is in full celebration mode as it officially opened the 444th Founding Anniversary through the annual ALA EH! Festival, a week-long series of cultural, economic, and community-centered activities scheduled from December 8 to 13, 2025 at the grounds of Batangas Provincial Capitol.
The festivities began on the morning of December 8 with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration held at the Dream Zone, gathering provincial officials, municipal mayors, local leaders, and employees in thanksgiving for the rich history and progress of the province. The opening program highlighted the unity and shared commitment of public servants.
Following the mass, the province launched the MBA-VSR Awards, an initiative by the Provincial Government of Batangas recognizing outstanding cities and municipalities based on excellence in governance, innovation, service delivery, and community advancement.
The ceremony also marked the formal opening of the Provincial Trade Fair & Cooperative and Community Market along JP Laurel Highway. The fair showcases a wide array of Batangueño products—from food and delicacies to crafts, agricultural goods, and cooperative-based enterprises—aimed at promoting local industries and strengthening grassroots entrepreneurship.
Throughout the week, residents and visitors can participate in various events such as the Health and Wellness Caravan, Zumba sessions, the Himig at Puso: ALA EH! Acoustic Challenge, and the ALA EH! Rock n’ Roll Battle of the Bands. The celebration continues with major highlights including the Lechon Master competition, the Voices, Songs & Rhythms Choral Competition, the grand ALA EH! Festival Street Dance Parade, and the Festival Court Dance Exhibition.
The ALA EH! Festival remains a significant cultural tradition that honors Batangas’ heritage while showcasing its modern achievements, thriving communities, and local industries. As Batangas commemorates its 444 years of history and progress, the provincial government encourages everyone to take part in the festivities and support homegrown products and talents.
