Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, DOH ASec Dr. Ariel I. Valencia, and Taysan, Batangas Mayor Edilberto T. Abaday spearheaded the inauguration of the municipality’s newly constructed Super Health Center yesterday at the Municipality of Taysan.
A Super Health Center is a medium-type polyclinic that has services like dental, laboratory, X-ray, birthing facility, and other medical services.
In a Facebook post, DOH-CHD Calabarzon noted that Taysan Super Health Center services include TB-DOTS, laboratory testing, chest x-ray, animal bite treatment, birthing services, and a breastfeeding corner among other medical services. Additionally, the Super Health Center features a pharmacy and facilities for teen health kiosk and family planning counseling.
The construction and operations of Super Health Centers are in line with the goals of DOH’s 8-point agenda and the Universal Health Care Law.
