LIPA CITY — The local government of Lipa City under the auspice of Hon. Mayor Oscar Gozos has vowed to take the fight against red tape with the drafting of the city’s “Citizen’s Charter,” a code of service standards for local government transactions.

Citizen’s Charter contains the service standards drafted by the City Planning and Development Officer, Fe De Peralta Pena. This service standard will soon be religiously followed by all departments of the Lipa City Hall.

With this new charter, the city government’s way of delivering basic services to the residents will be evaluated accordingly. People’s suggestions can now be heard, considered and, if viable, incorporated and implemented in Lipa City Hall’s current processes.

Citizen’s charter was approved by the City Council last June 8, 2009 thorugh the Special Ordinance Number 64-2009. This charter will be implemented next month.
