La Virginia Leisure Park and Amusement Resort: One-of-a-Kind Batangas Destination

When planning a vacation, you always look for someplace where your desires of relaxation and enjoyment will be satisfied. Budget is another primary consideration yet no amount of money can be a match for the joy a vacation brings to anyone.

Batangas, being an hour and a half drive away from Metro Manila, is a preferred destination for family vacation and company outing. One of the most frequented destinations in the province is La Virginia Leisure Park and Amusement Resort.

RESORT OVERVIEW

La Virginia is nestled in Brgy. Manggahan in the town of Mataasnakahoy and is one of the most extensive privately-owned vacation spots in Batangas province. Although the resort is entirely filled with man-made attractions, you will still be engrossed with the mesmerizing panorama of Taal Volcano and Taal Lake and the thickly-covered plantations in this side of town.

Further down this article, you will learn more why La Virginia is a leisure park, amusement resort, vacation destination, and events place all rolled into one.

QUICK FACTS

Whether you book a picnic hut for a day tour or a hotel room for an overnight stay, you have to pay for the entrance fee of P300 per adult and P200 per child. Standard check-in time is 2:00pm and check-out is 12:00nn the next day. Right now, they only accept cash for any payment transaction.

Unlike in some resorts where day tour lasts from 8:00am to 5:00pm only, day tour in La Virginia starts at 8:00am and ends at 9:30pm. Guests (including those who will stay overnight) are allowed to use the swimming pools until 10:00pm only.

You can bring your own food and beverages with no corkage fee. There are grilling stations near most picnic huts while the Bebeng Guest House has its own kitchen and each of the five houses in Casas de Flores has an electric stove available.

For events, La Virginia has an accredited caterer but you can bring your own which will be charged with corresponding corkage fees.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Overnight Rooms

Aside from the rooms in La Virginia Hotel, there are 14 other types of overnight accommodations in the resort. There’s a room for two up to a group of 30 people. If you analyze their accommodation rates, one person is likely to spend around P1,000 on the average, that’s if you divide the rate with the maximum number of persons the room can hold.

Their biggest accommodation is the Pagoda House where 28 to 35 persons can comfortably fit in. It’s P30,000 per night and provides privacy and exclusivity for your group because it has its own pool in the area. While for couples who can spend a night in a non-airconditioned room, they can book one of the Cabana Huts for only P2,500.

Meanwhile, the hotel rooms have two different rates. The rate of the rooms facing the view of Taal Lake and Volcano Island is P4,500 per night while for those ‘without the view’, it’s P4,000. All hotel rooms can accommodate up to six (6) persons.

Picnic Huts

With 17 different kinds of day tour picnic huts, you probably can imagine now how large of a property La Virginia is. The rates of the picnic huts range from P500 to P4,000 depending on the number of people a hut can hold.

ATTRACTIONS

La Virginia is piled up with numerous attractions for everyone. But we bet the kids would be the happiest here as there are too many features meant for children’s amazement.

Sculptures of animals, superheroes, Adam and Eve, and lots of other notable characters are scattered all over the resort. We did not dare count ’cause they’re just too many of them! These figures are probably the most distinct features in the resort as no one can miss out taking a photo with any of these sculptures.

Talking about taking photos, don’t forget to take a group shot or that perfect selfie in the Buddha view deck. It would seem like you’ve been to Thailand if you take a picture there. Of course, the quaint view of Taal Lake, Taal Volcano, Napayong Island of Tanauan, and Tagaytay ridge altogether create an amazing background for a postcard-worthy shot.

For those who are not afraid of heights, get some adrenaline rush in La Virginia’s Zipline Rides and Wall Climbing facility. You definitely won’t run out of reasons to enjoy your stay in this resort!

EVENTS PLACE

La Virginia is popular destination for corporate and social events. The resort has eight (8) venues for various events such as birthday parties, weddings, reunions, debuts, conferences, seminars, team-buildings, and other business functions. Good thing about renting a function venue in La Virginia is that you can use the venue for as long as needed. No four-hour limit, which is the usual duration for other event places. All function venues are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.

La Virginia Leisure Park and Amusement Resort is indeed a place where you can relax, have fun, and create happy memories with your favorite people.

We’re counting down days until the school semestral break, Undas, and Christmas vacation. If you’re scouting for a place where you and your family, your friends, or your workmates can go to, La Virginia is one Batangas destination we can recommend.
