Noah’s Ark

I am sharing to you the lessons we may learn from the great flood and how Noah built the ark. The Church is symbolized by that boat. It is a sign of salvation. As it ferries people from disaster to salvation, it continually faces huge waves of trials and storms of tribulations. Just as the Ark was the symbol of hope, the Church is our hope in these days of lack of faith and weakening fiber of morality.

The first lesson is: Don’t miss the boat. Always make sure you are aboard the Church and always one with it. Yes the Church may have her own imperfections and sinfulness but God always loves her. There are those who turn their back on the Church after seeing her imperfections. Don’t forget that this boat is on a journey towards perfection. She will get there. She will take you there. She is a good mother and teacher. So don’t leave her and don’t throw yourself overboard.

The second lesson is: Plan ahead. It wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark. We may just be wasting time, money and energy if we live a life without direction. Set your goals. Make sure you put God as your first and foremost goal. Those who fail to plan are planning to fail. Life becomes a thrill once you set a target. Focus on it and work hard for it. You will find that life has more meaning when you plan ahead.

The third lesson is: There’s always a rainbow waiting at the end of the storm for those who sail with God. Are you traveling alone? You shouldn’t. Journey with God and you’ll never be alone. Of course the journey may at times be tough and rough. The sea of life is not always smooth and calm. But with Jesus at your side, it’s worth the journey.
