When the Christmas season is nearing, we would often here about the infamous existence of ‘Samahan ng Malalamig ang Christmas’ (SMC) which now becomes ‘Samahan ng Malalamig ang Pasko’ (SMP). Oh isn’t it nice to have someone special to spend the cold Christmas morning with? 😉
When this SMP had been known to many, I don’t have any idea. But is it really a big deal for people to have someone romantically linked to him/her especially during the holidays?
Yes, I guess so for the hopeless romantic individuals out there. It would be a nice treat indeed to have someone to exchange favorable gifts with aside from your families and officemates. Having someone around for Christmas makes the yuletide season a merrier one, a lovelier one.
But what about for the so-called members of SMC/SMP? Hey, don’t frown! Christmas is all about happy moments to spend with people who are dear to you. Those people include the members of family, your relatives, your friends, your workmates. I’m sure there are a lot of them who could make your Christmas a warm and joyful one.
But if in case you got hit by the arrow of envy on Christmas Day as your BFFs have their Christmas dates, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered.
Try any of these tips on how to enjoy singlehood on Christmas:
- Treat your nieces and nephews to their favorite destination. Christmas is the happiest time of the year for the young ones. They would really appreciate it if you bring them to the mall, to the arcade, or to the theme park they’ve been wanting to be at. The best Christmas gift is not always tangible. 😉
- Share your blessings. Have you been blessed with a good career this year? Pay it forward! Visit an orphanage or a center for the elders and make other people happy.
- Look good. Feel good. Be good. Visit the salon and have a Christmas makeover. I love Christmas morning, don’t you? Do yoga, lift a few weights, stretch those sleepy muscles and feel good inside and out. Who says goodness could only be received? Goodness should start from within. And that means inside YOU.
