Celebrate Smile Month this October through a wonderful cause! Havaianas, the world’s favorite flip-flops, brings us Design a Smile campaign for the benefit of Operation Smile Philippines.
Operation Smile helps children with facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate. There are doctors all over the world who volunteer in treating these kids’ deformities, giving them a brighter sense of being, a happier childhood, and a sweeter smile they deserve to have.
Havaianas Design a Smile campaign is a flip-flop design competition open for children age 5-12 years old. The Batangas provincial leg will happen on Nov. 7, 2010 at SM City Lipa during mall hours.
Though this event is made for children only, adults could also show their support by donating any amount to Operation Smile Philippines. Remember, a little act of kindness goes a long way.
The winning design will be produced into actual flip-flop and will be available for retail in Havaianas stores here in the Philippines. A percentage of the sales will be donated to Operation Smile Philippines to help more children with cleft lip and cleft palate undergo reconstructive surgery.
