Batangas, Philippines — The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Batangas proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of Engr. Mark Kennedy E. Bantugon, President and CEO of Pili AdheSeal, for being recognized as one of the 2025 Presidential FilipinoVation Awardees. The prestigious awarding ceremony was held on November 6 in Quezon City, honoring the country’s top innovators driving sustainable and inclusive progress.
Out of 181 entries nationwide, Engr. Bantugon’s groundbreaking innovation, Pili Seal, stood out among the five trailblazing winners representing Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and the National Capital Region. Pili Seal, developed from pili tree resin, offers an eco-friendly, high-performance sealant that supports both local farmers and the environment—an innovation that bridges science, sustainability, and Filipino ingenuity.
Each awardee received a Presidential Medallion, Plaque, and Trophy, along with a ₱3.5 million support package that includes mentorship, international exposure, and investor linkages to help scale their innovations globally.
Representing the CALABARZON region during the ceremony were DOST Batangas Provincial Director Ms. Felina C. Malabanan, along with DOST CALABARZON staff Mr. Julius Ceaser Jaluage and Ms. Karen Claire Punzalan, who proudly joined Engr. Bantugon in this milestone celebration.
