From Ideas to Impact: NU Lipa SACE Students Take Center Stage at SPARK 2025

LIPA CITY, Batangas — The School of Architecture, Computing, and Engineering (SACE) of National University–Lipa held its culminating activity, SPARK 2025, showcasing the creativity, innovation, and technical excellence of its students. The event highlighted the university’s commitment to providing Education that works through hands-on learning and real-world application of skills.

SPARK 2025 featured a series of engaging activities, including booth competitions, a pitch competition, and technology exhibits that served as platforms for students to present their final term outputs. Representatives from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) will also deliver inspiring talks.

Dean Caroline Matira of the School of Architecture, Computing, and Engineering underscored the significance of holistic development in the academic experience.

“More than the theories, it’s the soft skills,” Dean Matira shared. Through activities like the booth exhibits and pitch competitions, students strengthen their communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities—skills that are just as essential as technical expertise.

The event served as both an academic milestone and a professional training ground, encouraging students to apply classroom concepts to practical, industry-relevant challenges. By presenting their innovations and engaging with peers and industry guests, participants demonstrated how Education that works translates into competence, confidence, and creativity.

SPARK 2025 celebrated student achievement and reflected National University–Lipa’s mission to produce globally competitive, industry-ready graduates who combine technical knowledge with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
