MAD Summit 2025: “MMAALAB” to ignite Filipino creativity at De La Salle Lipa

The vibrant spirit of Filipino creativity takes center stage at the upcoming MAD Summit at De La Salle Lipa 2025, a multimedia arts celebration, on May 10, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the DLSL Sentrum.

Organized by the Bachelor of Multimedia Arts and Design (BMMA) students of De La Salle Lipa, this year’s event bears the theme “MMAALAB: Ang Kwento ng Sariling Sining”, emphasizing the power of cultural identity through multimedia expression.

The MAD Summit, now in its ninth year, has evolved into a platform that showcases the convergence of tradition, innovation, and passion in the local creative scene. “MMAALAB” embodies the fiery spirit of Filipino artists as they explore various forms of media, including photography, motion graphics, mixed media, visual arts, and music, all while rooting their works in authentic Filipino narratives. It serves not only as an artistic celebration but also as a culminating academic requirement for fourth-year BMMA students enrolled in DLSU’s Multimedia course, where they demonstrate their skills in organizing a full-scale industry event.

This year’s summit boasts a compelling lineup of inspirational talks from five distinguished figures in the field. Attendees will gain valuable insights from 2D animator Nelson Caligua Jr. , Motion Artist Jerwynn Laraño, Visual Artist Art of Maku, 0OPM band LWKY, and Photographer and Creative director JB De Leon.

In addition to the talks, guests can immerse themselves in interactive exhibits that feature innovative multimedia installations and student artworks, providing a sensory journey through contemporary Filipino creativity. The summit also offers networking opportunities, giving artists, students, and professionals a chance to connect, collaborate, and share ideas. Attendees will receive an official certificate of attendance, recognizing their participation and support of the arts. To add to the excitement, the event will feature raffle draws, freebies, and other surprise giveaways throughout the day.

MAD Summit 2025 is a must-attend for anyone passionate about multimedia arts and design in the Philippines. It promises not just a showcase of talent but a collective movement to champion local voices and cultivate a thriving creative community.

Admission is free, but slots are limited. Interested participants are encouraged to register early at www.madsummit2025.com to secure their spot.
