Pinoy Picks: Top Refreshments for Summer

It’s getting hot in here! I mean, hello summer!

Although we are all complaining when the heat strikes us and makes us sweat, admit it that this is the best time of the year to enjoy the beach, pool resorts, and theme parks.

Aside from visiting such places to refresh us out from the searing city, you can find a cheaper alternative right in your fridge. We easily get thirsty when the weather is this hot, right? And we’d crave for some refreshments eventually.

Now what are those popular refreshments you’d always pick to quench your thirst and cool you down?

Let me give you some of those popular refreshments that will diminish the heat brought by the summer season.

Juice – it can be a powdered juice drink or a fresh fruit juice such as buko, pineapple, orange etc.

Halo-Halo – who haven’t tried it yet? It’s a Pinoy favorite. This is one of the summer staples here in the Philippines when it comes to refreshments.

Frappe coffee – an iced coffee beverage is another way to enjoy this drink when you can’t have it the usual way because it’s hot.

Smoothies or shakes – is a blended and sometimes sweetened beverage made from fresh fruits (or sometimes concentrates and mixes).

Ice cream – who would not love to eat ice cream on a sunny day? It will not completely relieve your thirst but it’s cool and just as delectable to make you deal with the hot weather.

If there are other refreshments you know, feel free to comment! 🙂
