HISTORY
Lando’s Eatery and Lomi House started in the garage of the parents of the owner 15 years ago. They served noodles (pansit) and lomi (a filipino dish made with a variety if thick fresh egg noodles of about a quarter of an inch in diameter, soaked in lye water to give it more texture).
Eventually, they moved to national highway of San Antonio San Pascual to cater growing number of customers each day. They added several menu and other variety of pansit in different sizes to serve the request of customers.
For 15 years,it was managed by Ms. Adora Agbay and the late Mr. Rolando Agbay and currently managed and owned by their son Marc Roland Agbay.
Lando’s was named after the late Mr. Rolando Agbay and its success continuous because of the non-comparable taste of pansit and lomi with the others. They have their own recipe and sauces which is combined with 4 different sauces and they are not using monosodium glutamate (vetsin) in any food in their menu. From pansit and lomi they cater ready to eat food due to customer’s request.
Lando’s preserved it’s identity of pansit and lomi for 17 years, this means, the owner is planning of adding branches to reach other customers and enjoy the taste of original lomi and pansit of province of Batangas.
Lando’s were very thankful to the decades of support from loyal customers and promise to continue the service to all of Batangueños. They can assure the customers the consistency of the taste of their pansit and lomi which let them came back.

The pandemic paved the way to start Chianneb’s Restaurant Lemery branch is their 3rd branch. Located in Ayala Highway, the food avenue of Lipa City, Ka Jec’s Bangihan is a grill restaurant with a lot of parking space, cool ambiance, great hangout seats, and an awesome Filipino street food menu.
Their bestseller is the Isaw (or grilled Chicken Intestines). Instead of eating it in noisy, polluted and smelly streetside (with probably unhealthy sauces), you get to enjoy your isaw with your friends seated on picnic chairs and tables with proper edison-bulb lighting listening to a live acoustic band on some days.
Another can’t-miss on the menu is the turon, a flavorful blend of bananas, sesame seeds, butter, and sugar, that will make you forget you had just street food, and will probably make you order some more for take-out.
Ka Jec’s General Manager Ms. Eena Morada was very accommodating and served us the best food that most of their customers like.

After graduation, he thought of investing for the betterment of the place and eventually developed it into a restaurant. He is also fond of organic farming, the herbs that they are using for their dishes are found within their backyard. As for the meat and seafood ingredients, they purposely restrict the number of inventory to guarantee the quality of every dish. Customers may call ahead of time to secure a specific meal. Vilma’s Lechon is a family run business located in Brgy. Bolbok, Lipa City, with a branch in Darasa, Tanauan City, which provides crispy and delicious Lechong Baboy and Lechong Baka with their signature sauce.
The History
Inspired by the legacy left by their parents, Vilma’s Lechon was conceptualized in the 1970s through the hard works of Mr. Felix Leynes and Mrs. Vilma Leynes. Before putting up the lechon business, Mr. Felix Leynes used to supply pigs to one of the most popular Lechon establishments in Manila where he learned the tricks of the trade, eventually put up his own.
In 1983, Vilma’s Lechon was formally opened to the public. Like any other startups, it was not a smooth sail at first. They had their fair share of non-paying customers and scammers. Nonetheless, through continuous innovations and catching of the trend and staying resilient, the establishment was able to overcome these setbacks.
The Lechon
The secret, as per Vilma’s Lechon, is in the pig and cow itself. Mr. Felix Leynes, up to this day, still personally does the trade and quality control of their primary ingredient.
Procedure
Upon arrival from the city’s slaughterhouse, the carcass is first inspected and goes through secondary cleaning. Then, it is affixed on a steel pole and then stuffed with a mixture of herbs and spices. (They are also open to clients’ special requests in terms of flavorings and stuffing.) Once sewn up, the carcass is rubbed with a combination of milk and water which gives the lechon that enticing red color. The pig is roasted over charcoal fire for around two and a half hours – depending on size – while continuously lathered with oil.
As for the lechong baka, after being slaughtered, it is affixed on a specially produced steel pole. Unlike with Lechon Baboy, the taste of the Lechong Baka does not come from the stuffing but from a specially concocted marinate that has been with the family for years. It is then roasted over charcoal fire and checked from time to time.
Their famous sauce, on one hand, has gone through years of experimenting and perfecting to ensure that it would stand out among its competitors.
The Staff
They are really friendly and accommodating. Since it is a family owned business and their home serve as the primary business center, the whole family has had a habit of personally catering to their clients’ needs, together with their equally accommodating staff. Despite unpleasant and sometimes depleting experiences with previous customers, they still strive to provide their customers with the best tasting lechon for their festivities and occasions.
Eatery
Later on, Mrs. Vilma Leynes decided to open an eatery to go along their lechon business. They serve house specialties like lechon, lechong paksiw, and dinuguan.
Client
Over the years, they were able to supply lechon to popular resorts, companies, and fiestas not just in the province of Batangas but also in Metro Manila and other neighboring provinces. They have also had clients who brought the product overseas.

Ms. Princess Karina Villena together with her partner, Roland Rosales, aBatangueno Couple owned and conceptualized this coffee shop. They both work in the Middle East for years where most of their bonding time is spent in trying different restaurants to eat and have some coffee.
That leads to an idea of turning their love for coffee into a business where they would also love to invest their time and love for food.
To know more about coffee and stuff, they attended classes and search for potential suppliers and convert all of their ideas into realities, until Brewista is introduced. The Middle East’s influence reflects the concept of their cafe and food but not invalidating the locals.

How Inhinyero’s Resto Bar started
Engineer Earl Hosena, Inhinyero’s Restobar owner, first opted to establish a Japan-Bali-inspired apartment since the rural, relaxing vibes of the place demand imperturbable features and laid-back accommodations.
However, when the magnificence of Barangay Bungahan— replete with a scenic, towering, 360-degree view of Cuenca and neighboring towns—fully sank in with Engr. Earl, then realized that a casual coffee and dining hub is perfect for the lot.
The Restaurant, Coffee and Milktea Rooftop Bar
What sets Inhinyero’s Restobar from other restaurants in Cuenca is its menu. Its offerings may not be reminiscent of traditional Batangueno cuisine: its menu which includes Pan-Grilled Ribeye, Taiwanese Pork Chop, and Taco Pasta also serves as a great introduction to a luscious, foreign and affordable cuisine to some of the locals who otherwise would be denied a chance to enjoy great food in such a relaxed setting.
The place also serves a range of milk tea, coffee, and mild alcoholic beverages with a budget-friendly 60 pesos starting price. The main dishes’ fees range from 160 to 498 pesos.

Black Boba Milktea Shop & Co. is an original branded milk tea shop located at Verdan Building, Poblacion 2, Cuenca, Batangas. It opened last March 18, 2019, and is managed by Ms. Diana Rose Duran with her two business partners. Their brand name stands for the black and white theme of the store and Boba means Pearls.
Black Boba Milktea Shop & Co. is uniquely designed with Ms. Duran being a K-Drama fan at heart. The shop concept is a webtoon world, inspired by a cafe in Seoul which is black and white themed.
Black Boba always ensures 100% freshly brewed tea from Taiwan. Plus, it has a lot more to offer with variants falling under Frappes, Fruit Teas, Smoothies and Pica pica. They continuously innovate and create flavors that are why their products are their own mix, recipe, and flavor.

The Coffee Sack Cafe is a newly-opened coffee shop that serves quality brewed coffee and cold drinks with delicious cupcakes, sandwiches and pasta. They are located in San Sebastian Village, Brgy 3, Tanauan City, Batangas, near the front gate of FAITH Colleges.
The Founders
Erick Rivera , MJ Sayaman and Sean “Cabs” Cabrera were classmates in CCA Katipunan way back 2014-2016 and are equally passionate about food and the restaurant business. After graduation, they went their separate ways putting up businesses as well as accepting jobs in the food industry.
Last year MJ saw an opportunity to put up his dream coffee shop when his parents offered him a commercial space in their Tanauan building. He partnered up with his classmates and got to work in conceptualizing the business, R&D, sourcing of suppliers, building the menu, and finally remodeling the coffee shop space itself. The founders are well-financed and are advised by family members who are entrepreneurs.
At such a young age, these guys are showing determination in learning and taking risks in the business industry. Their passion in cooking put them to where they are now and by putting their heart into it. Their team shows a great example of tight partnership thru friendship.
The Coffee Shop
Coffee Sack occupies the first floor of a prime commercial space about a 100 meter walk from FAITH, Daniel Mercado Hospital, and the old Tanauan City Hall.
The cafe-style place is spacious, and they have a couch that accommodates 10 people for barkada hang-outs. The cafe is also perfect for small business meet-ups because it has these nooks and corners that affords you some privacy.
The owners really want a rustic and homey vibe kind of coffee shop. They play classic songs, the materials used in their furnitures and the interior can be defined as homey vibe.
For bigger groups, they have a conference/ meeting room that can accommodate 20 people at an affordable rate of P1800 for four hours, with unlimited coffee!

Reviews:
“Excellent coffee + great food + cozy place + very accomodating staff. Definitely one of my go-to places! Cuban sandwich with coffee for the win!!” – Darlene Panghulan, one of the first customers
“I think the concept of the coffee shop shows the personality of the owners by the color and the type of materials used in the cafe which is very strong, the food and its prices are of quality type and very student budget meals. Lastly, the ambience is really homey and class.” – KP Santos, Publishing Editor, WOWBatangas Directory
