Cast of World Renowned ‘Phantom of the Opera’ Visits Taal Volcano

The Phantom of the Opera cast got to experience that it’s more fun in Batangas!

Phantom of the Opera in Manila, PhilippinesThe Phantom of the Opera, one of the world’s grandest and most followed Broadway musicals, is currently staging the Philippines leg of their Asian tour (next stop will be South Korea). The shows were originally set from August 25, 2012 to September 16, 2012 but due to popular demand, the Phantom was extended until October 14, 2012, at the CCP Main Theater in Pasay City.

I suppose the people who brought Phantom of the Opera in Manila are treating the cast for trips to the country’s must-see destinations. Performing six days a week with all the standing ovations they get, the cast surely need some time off the stage.

And in their recent out-of-Manila trip, the Phantom of the Opera cast went to Taal Volcano! They trekked the world’s smallest active volcano just like what we did last year.

Phantom of the Opera cast visits Taal VolcanoMarise Dusheiko, one of the POTO dancers, wrote about their trip in her blog, traveldance.net, under the post Manila – Week 4 where she talked about the Opening Night and Taal Volcano. Marise described the view from the crater as “spectacular”.

Even Claire Lyon who plays Christine Daaé also expressed some beautiful words about Taal Volcano. You can check some of their photos in Marise’s blog.

World-class performers in a world-class destination. It’s more fun in Batangas, isn’t it? 😉

    • Hi Tita Wilma!

Our last visit to the Volcano Island was last year, and we hope we’d get another chance to trek the crater as it was such a very awesome experience. Regarding the trip of the Phantom of the Opera cast there, I learned about it through Claire Lyon’s (who plays Christine Daaé) interview aired on a TV show and through her Twitter account. 🙂

Thank you pos for your kind words for our Team. God bless you.
