Miss Lipa Tourism 2012, part of Lipa City’s 65th Founding Anniversary was held last June 16, Saturday at Plaza Independencia.
Twelve beautiful young ladies from different barangays of Lipa, participated in the pageant. Although it was a rainy night, the event still went fine production-wise.
The crowd went extreme when the 12 gorgeous ladies introduced themselves, officially commencing the program.

After the introduction of the 12 candidates, they ramp back on stage for the Swimsuit Competition and again, the crowd went crazy cheering for their bets.
Before the pageant proceeded with the long gown competition, Mr. (missed the name, sorry) Sandoval, the Talentadong Lipeño 2012 winner, rendered a song number which was followed by the El Fuego dancers who presented a fire dance to the audience’s delight.
This time, the ladies went on stage, poised in their evening dress for the Long Gown Competition. A casual Q&A portion took place after the 12 candidates finished parading on stage.
Right after this portion, the hosts announced the winners of the special awards.

After giving away the special awards, the judges picked the Top 5 finalists: Candidates #11 Raise Ann Malabanan, #7 Jhona Milla Montalbo, #6 Therese Fleur Ostil, #9 Alizia Anne Ng, and #10 Ansherina Therese Rivera.
Each of them answered a question from the panel of judges. And on this final portion of the pageant, the winners were chosen based on the “50% beauty, 50% intelligence” criteria.
That was an exciting part of the pageant as the finalists answered questions from the judges, rising the tension in the venue. But of course, the announcement of winners was the most thrilling part of the event.
The thrill was prolonged by a dance number rendered by none other than the first lady of Lipa City, Mrs. Bernadette Sabili.
The pageant ran for around three hours and after the sudden drop of heavy rains, Candidate #6 Therese Fleur Ostil of Brgy. Marawoy was crowned Miss Lipa Tourism 2012.
This year’s runners-up are Candidate # 10, Ansherina Therese Rivera from Brgy. Sabang (1st Runner-Up) and Candidate # 9, Alizia Anne Ng from Brgy Talisay (2nd Runner-Up)
That was a very wonderful night as these young ladies, showed beauty, grace, and intelligence as they share what they can do for the tourism of their hometown, Lipa City.
