SM Supermalls will hold job fair and pre-employment services in celebration of the 108th labor day on May 1, 2010. This year’s job fair at SM Supermalls is dubbed “Jobs Live!”.

Fresh graduates and other jobseekers are in for a grand job hunting event with SM Supermalls Nationwide Job Fair at its 37 malls around the country on May 1, 2010. SM Malls, after all, have been a catalyst in creating employment and business opportunities in all areas where they are located, and the Job Fair is one way in which it can do its share for the community.
In Batangas, SM City Batangas and SM City Lipa will have the Job Fair from 8:00AM to 5:00PM at the malls’ respective Event Centers.
Companies from all over Batangas including mall retail stores and food outlets are expected to join the recruitment activity which aims to provide opportunities for gainful employment to thousands of Batangueños.
This year’s Job Fair is in cooperation with the local government units of Batangas and Lipa, Batangas City and Lipa City Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Besides the Job Fair, there will be a One-Stop Shop Job Requirement Services at SM City Lipa on May 1. Interested parties may apply for SSS Identification Card and PhilHealth membership while running errands inside SM.
This year’s SM Supermalls Natonwide Job Fair is envisioned to complement the initiative of DOLE to carry out simultaneous Job Fairs on Labor Day in 16 regions nationwide.
The SM Job Fair began in May 1, 2008 as part of the company’s aim to bring employers together and make it easy for jobseekers to hunt career opportunities in the convenience of the malls.
