Alitagtag is a 4th class municipality in Batangas with 19 barangays.

The town is considered the “Float Capital of the Region” because of the booming float making industry.

The Holy Cross in Binukalan Shrine became famous because of the ancient accounts that it was made to drive away the ghosts in Alitagtag.

The town has a couple of resorts to attract tourists from other parts of the province.
