Will the Philippines’ bet for Miss Universe 2009, Bianca Manalo, bring home the country’s 8th Ms. Photogenic award? In the pageant’s history, the Philippines got seven Ms. Photogenic awards to date, the most number in the tally.
The following are the Phillipines’ past representative for the pageant who bagged the Ms. Photogenic award:
1971 – Vida Valentina Doria
1973 – Maria Margarita Moran (crowned Miss Universe)
1996 – Aileen Damiles
1997 – Abbygale Arenas
2005 – Gionna Cabrera
2006 – Lia Andrea Ramos
2007 – Anna Theresa Licaros
Is this the most that our representatives could earn out of all the Miss Universe awards? People say that the Philippines is in thirst of the Miss Universe crown but no matter how arduous their trainings are, the efforts still seemed to be short to bring home the title. Thanks to the Filipino supporters who never get tired clicking buttons on the online voting poll.
It’s only three days before the pageant and if Bianca would place, it’s the grandest bonus for her. For sure any of the biggest television networks would have their contracts ready for Bianca when she returned from the pageant, with or without the crown.
