Batangas Public Transportation (Lipa City-Batangas City)

Anong public mode of transportation ang mas kumportable kayong sakyan mula Lipa City hanggang Batangas City or vice versa?

Merong bus, merong jeep, merong van. If you’re from Lipa City proper, there are PUJs going to Batangas City from the terminal at the public market. Jeepney fare is currently at P30.00 (drop off point: Capitol area).

If you want a more comfortable transportation, go on a bus. Buses are coming from various directions. There are buses from Manila via Tanauan-Lipa passing by landmarks such as SM City Lipa, Robinsons Lipa then the town of San Jose. Drop off point for those going to Batangas City proper is at the diversion road (Balagtas). Current bus fare from Lipa City P44.00/P35.00 (airconditioned); P30.00 (ordinary).

Buses via STAR Tollway makes Lipa-Batangas travel time shorter (only around 20 minutes). Current fare is P35.00 and drop off point for those going to Batangas City proper is also at the Balagtas diversion road.

Kung gusto mo ng mas kumportable pa sa bus, mag-van ka. Usually, nasa mall terminals ang mga Lipa-Batangas van via STAR Tollway. Yun eh kung hindi ka nagmamadali. Madalas kasi matagal mapuno ang mga van pero kung mismong travel time ang kino-consider mo, dito pinakamabilis. From SM Batangas to Lipa is at P50.00.

So, aling public transport ang mas madalas mong piliin?

pag jeep naman, malelate mga pasahero dahil sa dami at tagal ng mga stopovers.

i prefer na sumakay na lang sa STAR Tollway. mabilis pa ang byahe. from tollway to diversion road is only 15-18 minutes for Php35. komportable pa sa bus lalo na pag ang masasakyan mo eh Starexpress o Ceres.

  Yup, correct ka dyan Laurence! Matagal nga ipagiintay kapag sa van dahil bihira lang ang mga sumasakay dito. Pinipili ko lang mag-van kapag hindi ako nagmamadali saka kapag pagod na ako magpalipat-lipat pa ng jeep kung galing SM Batangas pauwi ng Lipa. Best choice nga ang mag-bus sa STAR tollway.

  From what point in Manila? Whatever point, you can ask the locals the terminal of buses going to Batangas (like Ceres, N. Dela Rosa, JAM, etc.). Easier if you take those via CALABARZON/STAR tollway. Drop off the Tambo exit then take a jeep going to Lipa City proper (or wherever you will be going in the city).

Hi Dyan, do you have some idea how much is the most current fare from Buendia terminal to Lipa? We are planning to go to La Virginia. And it says that we need to ride from Lipa to Mataas na Kahoy then from Mataas na Kahoy to the resort.

And additional question, does the Lipa Batangas terminal have some notable landmark?

  According to a teammate who just went to Makati yesterday, Buendia-Lipa fare is P124 (I just don’t know anong bus yun). Easier if you ride on a bus to Lipa which will exit on STAR tollway. On the Tambo exit, you have to cross the street where jeepneys going to Mataasnakahoy are passing.
  
  La Virginia is located in Brgy. Manggahan and it’s not along the road. You can ride jeepneys going to M-kahoy towns which will pass on the way going to La Virginia. Bayorbor or Nangkaan pwede na. Tell the driver to drop you off sa kanto ng La Virginia.
  
  I’m not sure how much is the fare from Tambo exit to Manggahan, most likely P10 or P11. Tricycle ride is the easiest way to reach La Virginia. Haven’t gone there na byahe eh.
