Updates On the Aftermath of Typhoon Ondoy

According to National Disaster Coordinating Council, the death toll due to typhoon Ondoy rises up to 100 and 32 people are still missing, Monday morning, Sept.28. More than 451,000 people were displaced from their own homes to 115,000 evacuation centers in the affected areas around the country.

Hundred thousands of people continue to cry for help because of the massive destruction brought to them by typhoon Ondoy over the weekend. There are still people who remain trapped in various places around Manila and its neighboring towns. Government officials feared that the death toll might still go up the time the flood totally subsides.

Communication lines and power supply remained cut in some parts of the city while the supply of food, water, and clothing in evacuation centers are desperately short.
