According to Grenardson Naredo, Senior Officer for Hospital Inspection Control, once there is a case observe that a visitor is sick but no travel history, he is allowed to enter the hospital and subject for check-up if the visitor has a travel history particularly to China and other affected countries, he is advised for a “home quarantine” for fourteen (14) days and classified as Patient Under Monitoring where checklist will be provided to him every day and will be asked for updates by the City Health Specialist, and in case the visitor both has to travel history to China and got symptoms he will be assisted to the hospitals’ isolation room and advised if wanted a self-quarantine.

“Elderly and kids with weak immune systems are more prone to such viruses, that they need to be well-protected and not be too exposed. Our hands must be cleaned regularly with sanitizers. Those who have coughs are advised to wear masks when in public. Surgical masks for prevention and N95 masks for those who are sick, masks made of usual cloth are not advisable because molecules of virus can still enter. Everyone is advised to be extra aware of their surroundings”, Dr. Joseph Glenn A. Dimatatac, MD specialized in Internal Medicine-Diabetes and Chairman for Hospital Inspection Control of LMMC added.

In times that serious virus-like COVID-19 is observed, prevention is the best thing to apply.
