Karipasan 2015 Photos and Results

Karipasan 2015 (17)Last Sunday February 8, 2015 at Lima Park in Malvar, Batangas, the annual fun run Karipasan concluded successfully, and a lot earlier than expected. Over 3000 participants joined, from seasoned runners to amateurs, Batangueños and runners from Manila and nearby cities. The event is open for everyone who wants to join. Organizers are overwhelmed with the support and cooperation of everyone who joined the run and they are hoping that the number of participants will double next year. The event is a community project by First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities and supported by Lima Park Hotel.

The run aims to bring together people and improve the overall health of the community. It promotes sports and wellness, and not only that, it also brings tourists to Batangas. It serves as a tourism project and a fund raising event for the benefit of Bato Balani Foundation Inc. This specific event is focused on education development programs like teacher training, school and library assistance, scholarships and other special involvements.

Along with the main Fun Run event there is also a Batangas Waiters Race involving HRM students and professionals in mixed sprint and relay competitions. Hopefully next year, this competition will not only be a side event but an event on its own, according to the organizers of Karipasan 2015.

Ms. Rose Landicho, in behalf of the organizers of Karipasan 2015, would like to thank everyone who participated and supported the event. The event next year promises to be a bigger and more successful one, so see you then!
