Famous Words and Expressions in Batangas (Part III)

Because we can’t enough of the comments, suggestions, and discussions, eto na ang Part III ng Famous Words and Expressions in Batangas!

Dahil nga bumenta sa inyo ang Part I at Part II, this time, we asked our Facebook supporters kung anong terms ang gusto nilang i-share and here are some of their contributed Batangueño words.

From Pusa Kaneki — nakakaane (parang nakakainis)

From Joy Hernandez Añonuevo ‎– hambo (maligo) “Pagkahirap gang humambo pag naulan, ay malamig.”

From Marlyn Dela Cruz — pumanaog (bumaba)

From Billy Martinez — pumuyangit (makihalubilo, makisiksik) “Pagsagaling nareng pumuyangit.”

Marilyn also gave out guyam (ants) which was previously published in Part I. Others contributed terms which are Tagalog terms but not really of Batangan origin like ‘magtahip’ or to blow off the chaff from grain (from Ellen de Castro) and ‘kampit’ or knife (from Henry Dipasupil). And Rodrigo Caraos commented ‘karingot’ which I suppose is ‘kapirangot’ (little amount). Thanks though! 😉

Romalyn Cabungcal of Tanauan contributed ‘taro’ (timba or pail) and basin (arinola). Thank you!

Gusto n’yo pa ng Part IV? Ay tama na naman! Hahaha. Seriously, you can comment or contributed anytime you want. 😉
