Agri Fair Showcased Homegrown Batangueño Products

Have you tried joining an agricultural fair? Agri fair, trade fair, these are good avenues for business people to make their products known. And aside from promoting their business and selling what they have on the venue, fairs and expos provide opportunities for people to promote their homegrown products – like in this Agri Fair where Batanguenos showcased their valued products.

As part of celebrating Lipa City Fiesta 2011, the City Agriculture Office headed by Angelita Atienza, conducted an Agri Fair which will run from January 14 to January 21, 2011 at the Lipa City Hall open ground. This event was participated by various barangays of Lipa City. To sum up, there are 45 stalls featuring agricultural products of their respective places.

According to the City Agriculturist, this activity was organized to promote the agricultural products of Lipa. This would also helped their barangays be known through their unique products, Ms. Atienza added.

One of the most frequented stalls is the one managed by a cooperative from Ibaan. They sell sugar cane juice. It’s new, refreshing and very healthy to drink. For only P10, you can have one glass of sugar cane juice.

Another stall caught our eyes with the unusual size, shapes and appearance of the fruits it features. This stall was managed by people from Barangay Pinagtongulan. Some stall sell bread, sinturis, buko juice, eggs, flowering plants, feeds and etc.
