Located in Ayala Highway, the food avenue of Lipa City, Ka Jec’s Bangihan is a grill restaurant with a lot of parking space, cool ambiance, great hangout seats, and an awesome Filipino street food menu.
Their bestseller is the Isaw (or grilled Chicken Intestines). Instead of eating it in noisy, polluted and smelly streetside (with probably unhealthy sauces), you get to enjoy your isaw with your friends seated on picnic chairs and tables with proper edison-bulb lighting listening to a live acoustic band on some days.
Another can’t-miss on the menu is the turon, a flavorful blend of bananas, sesame seeds, butter and sugar, that will make you forget you had just street food, and will probably make you order some more for take-out.
Ka Jec’s General Manager Ms. Eena Morada was very accommodating and served us the best food that most of their customers like.
Here are some other notable food on the menu :
Pork Barbeque – P85
Isaw (Manok) – P85
Adidas – P85
Onion Rings – P75
Nachos – P125
Fries Overload – P160
Turon – P50
Sisig – P150
Ka Jec’s Pansit – P150
Chessy Tuna Dynamite – P125

I’m a freelance makeup artist based in Lipa City, Batangas. It was during my high school days when the passion for make-up bud within me and has never let go of it. So I took the chance by being an assistant to a makeup artist in Lipa City.
From there, I decided to have a formal training under a cosmetology program and eventually attended seminars and trainings in Fanny Serrano’s Hair Asia and Ricky Reyes’ FilHair. These trainings made me adept in integrating make-up and hair styling for clients.
Constant upgrading of make-up skills and style is vital if you want to stay put in the field of cosmetology. I guess it’s my tender humor and defined hand strokes that make clients easily get comfortable with me.
Being a makeup artist here in Lipa City is a fulfilling experience for me because aside from earning something for my family, I get to work with different people and that made me feel at home in the field that I chose to be in and has, since then, became the world to me.
The best thing about being a makeup artist is having the chance to help clients boost their self-esteem by enhancing their look into a fairer, more dainty one – a kind of beauty that transcends the superficial.
I am nothing but proud to have started my career as a makeup artist here in Batangas. But just like any other hopeful, it would be the sweetest success if I would be given the chance to color the world with the most vibrant hues as seen on the faces of Earth’s finest people, starting with Angel Locsin. I find her face a perfect canvas with her refined facial contours and chinita features.
I also dream of following the steps of Ricky Reyes because of his generosity in helping out aspiring makeup artists and Fanny Serrano because of the status he’s been keeping as the coveted makeup artist of celebrities.
It was through their inspiring stories that I keep the determination to do the best of whatever I can in the kind of job I will forever embrace. Matte, warm hues, cold tones, shimmers, and tints, face the world with the kind of beauty you can call your own. Let me turn your aesthetic wishes into reality. This is Makeup by Georgia.

With the stroke of my make-up brushes and the modishness of my color pallettes, I could be every woman’s fairy godmother. I do make-up for weddings, debut, beauty pageants, fashion shows, and model photo shoots. I try to keep the flexibility to offer these services but I can say that doing bridal make-up is my favorite. This is Georgia Reyes – makeup artist, Lipa City, Batangas.
At a wedding, the bride should stand out above the rest. Hers should be the face that’s most appealing and from which the moment’s bliss should radiate. This is what I love about doing a bride’s make-up. I give trial make-up for free if the bride would ask for it and can do the make-up for the whole entourage as well.
Any debutante’s dream is to look like a princess on her grandest birthday. A debutante could wear anything she wants to and my task is to glam up the birthday girl as she walks her way to womanhood.
In a beauty pageant, a candidate would feel like a doll on display and if she’s fantastically charming, she would be the first off the rack. I have done make-ups for a lot of beauty queens and title holders in Batangas.
I also do make-up for print ad and fashion models. Has done make-ups for photo shoots and even the casual make-up that a client would want to have. With this, I have constantly update myself on the latest make-up trends – from tools to colors and style
The birth of Rotary Club of Metro Lipa was a by-product of a idea and innovation of an intelligent thinker, the Charter President of Rotary Club of Lipa South and Charter Governor of Rotary International District 3820, PDG Ramon “Mon” Cumagun. Such an idea gained full recognition and acceptance from the officers and members of RCLS and from no less than the then President of RCLS, Pres. Ricardo “Carding” Macala. Responding to the thrust of the then President of Rotary International for Rotary Year 1995-1996, Herbert Brown, that was to increase the member of Rotary Clubs and their membership, Pres. Macala, with clearance from the then District Governor Felimon “Mon” Mapalad, designated Pedro “Pete” Cootauco Jr. to start forming a new club. Pete was then the RCLS Director and Chairman for Club Service.
Twenty six professionals and businessmen answered the final call and they comprised the charter members of the newly organized Club, the Rotary Club of Metro Lipa. The Rotary Club of Metro Lipa was finally chartered on October 31, 1995 by 1995-1996 RI President Herbert Brown at Hotel Ramada in Manila. The 26 Charter Members were formally inducted to Rotary on February 10, 1996 during the District Conference held at Hotel Ramada in Manila.
Bantugon Alay Kapwa Foundation Inc. (BAKFI) takes into consideration the most fundamental aspects of a society – health, education, environment, livelihood – all for the benefit of its primary component, the people.
The foundation extends assistance to the needy with the collaborated effort and selfless acts of the affluent ones. BAKFI’s founder, Miguel Leonilo “Nilo” M. Bantugon grew up watching his politician father extends help to the people. Not wanting to enter politics, he delved on growing his own enterprising business.
Sixteen years ago, he went to Italy and lead the Filipino community there. When Nilo went back to the Philippines, he started doing small projects to bring together the less fortunate ones. One of the projects he intended to prioritize is the reviving of a river in Bauan through his coordination with the barangay captains.
In September 2010, Bantugon Alay Kapwa Foundation Inc. was officially registered as a legitimate foundation.
It is the goal of the foundation to be able to provide efficient access and effective mechanism which can facilitate development and progress of the less fortunate and encourage the participation of other privileged individuals and groups in its endeavors.
A vibrant organization that is able to multiply the effects of individual contributions to alleviate poverty through structured programs and unified efforts.

San Antonio Medical Center of Lipa, Inc. is a pioneering health care provider in Lipa City. When it was established in 1970, the hospital was known as San Antonio Maternity and Medical Hospital, because of its basic health care provided by the first US-trained Obstetrician-Gynecologist, Frances N. Reyes and Internist-Cardiologist, Cesar A. Reyes Sr. The hospital kept on improving, in the late 1980s, it became San Antonio General Hospital, a secondary hospital which can support licensed physicians in pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery and other supporting medical services.
From humble beginnings (primary – secondary – tertiary) it became San Antonio Medical Center of Lipa, Inc. last 2008. As a tertiary medical center, it offers a full complement of medical specialty services and facilities. In addition to these medical specialty services and facilities, the hospital offers specific sub-specialty care such as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI). New facilities include the Fertility Center and Gynecologic-Minimally Invasive Surgery Center doing a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.
Presently, there are a lot of other healthcare providers in Batangas province. What sets San Antonio Medical Center of Lipa, Inc. apart from others aside from its services and facilities is its social responsibility to the people. The priority of our institution is its commitment to care for the lives of people through affordable and compassionate healthcare for all.
The owners order the use of hospital facilities and equipment judiciously and do not only consider profit. The hospital has reasonable rates and its doctors charge reasonable professional fees.
With regards to corporate social responsibility, we have incorporated a foundation named San Antonio Medical Center Foundation, Inc. the purpose of which are:
To develop programs that attract the support of corporations, foundations, and organizations and that encourage individuals to contribute philanthropic funds to the hospital throughout their lives.
To raise funds and awareness for projects and services that maintain and improve quality patient care at San Antonio Medical Center of Lipa, Inc. and its affiliates.
To raise and steward funds for the advancement of healthcare in San Antonio Medical Center of Lipa, Inc.
In this regard, San Antonio Medical Center of Lipa, Inc. would like to provide the people of Batangas, pioneering and innovative services and facilities at affordable rates.
San Antonio Medical Center of Lipa, Inc. is moving towards ISO 9001:2008 and hopefully within the year, we will be the first hospital in Batangas which will be ISO certified.

The humble beginnings of the N.L. Villa Memorial Hospital was initiated by Dr. Nemesio K. Villa, Jr., the youngest son of the late Dr. Villa, Sr. While in the USA, back in 1965, definite plans were already taking shape. Medical equipments were slowly being purchased. His wife, Dr. Norma A. Villa helped and supported her husband’s vision and in 1968, the family went home to the Philippines armed with every minor and major details of the hospital plans where they would plunge into a lifetime endeavor of fulfilling his late father’s dream.
May 31, 1969 saw the birth of the N.L. Villa Memorial Hospital. Phase 1 of the projected medical center was fulfilled and the memory of Dr. Villa, Sr. would live in the institution and his children to whom he left the legacy of service of people through the medical profession.
The institution, through time, adequately served the medical needs of the people of Batangas. It grew by leaps and bounds and finally, on April 12, 1994, the hospital celebrated its Silver Anniversary, marking not just a milestone but the dawn of a new era.
The institution, now a Medical Center, carries state-of-the-art equipments and world class medical practitioners. It has sustained its dynamic growth due to the competence, skills and service oriented ideal of its staff. Despite its tremendous growth, the hospital has maintained its “Open Hospital Policy” ensuring patients continuity of care of their physicians.
Greater and better things are happening and as we expect the opening of the third phase of our hospital, we shall be able to reach out to more patients with more and better facilities. This move shall definitely put to rest what once was tagged as provincial. We are definitely a Medical Center par excellence with a reasonably priced laboratory, diagnostic procedures and other services. Further, with the establishment of the N.L. Villa Memorial Hospital Foundation, medical care is more accessible and affordable edifying the vision of: “serving people through the medical profession”
