Bambu started as a rest house of the Arayata family. Then, luckily Mr. Abe Arayata the son of the owner got inspired to be a chef and to create his own restaurant someday because of his grandparents who taught him how to cook when he was young. He saw the potential in the place and created multiple services such as a restaurant, events place, and a resort inside.
Today, Bambu is a family-owned business not only known for its exclusivity, but also for its delicacies such as Tahong Sisig, Hamonado Crispy Pata, Garlic Rose Mary Pork Ribs, and Kalabasa Cheesecake. It’s a farm to table restaurant by Chef Abe Arayata a graduate from Enderun Colleges, and Chef Ariel Atienza our local chef who worked at a 5-star hotel in Saudi Arabia.
Bambu Cafe Bar and Events is located at Daang Janopol, Brgy. Santor, Tanauan City Batangas and is very accessible from Startollway’s Tanauan Exit. It’s also a minute away from Tanauan’s colorful Cityhall.
Once you enter Bambu Cafe, Bar and Events’ compound, you’ll notice the different varieties of bamboo plants inside which makes the place cool and breezy. The Bamboo Plants are a personal collection of the owner’s grandfather and father. Parking space can also accommodate a lot of vehicles because the place is intended to cater to tourists who travel to Batangas and nearby cities and municipalities like Tagaytay and Laguna.
Simple yet elegant is the best way to describe the restaurant which adds comfort to guests. The restaurant’s interior is a combination of industrial and modern design, conjuring a relaxed and cozy atmosphere. The place is well lit and spacious that makes every corner of it instagramable and picture-perfect. While relaxing music plays on the background to make the experience better while waiting for the food to be served. There is also a stage for performances of local live bands who play every Saturday at the restaurant to give the opportunity to local talents to showcase their talents. Event and Resort Amenities
A spacious fully air-conditioned events place for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, corporate events, etc which can cater up to 300-350 persons. They also have 6 rooms with modern interior design for their guests who want to stay and a 3-5ft. swimming pool where guests can relax and enjoy the summer heat.
Mr. Abraham Arayata is the owner of Bambu Cafe Bar and Events, a young businessman who has a bachelors degree in Business Administration and he also took up a culinary course in order for him to pursue his passion in cooking. Aside from being the owner, he is also the head chef of Bambu. His love for cooking was the influence of his mother and his grandmother.
His passion for cooking was influenced by his mother and grandmother. At first, the place was just a farm and a rest house used by the family. After graduation, he thought of investing for the betterment of the place and eventually developed it into a restaurant. He is also fond of organic farming, the herbs that they are using for their dishes are found within their backyard. As for the meat and seafood ingredients, they purposely restrict the number of inventory to guarantee the quality of every dish. Customers may call ahead of time to secure a specific meal. Menu Chef Abe is very fond of Filipino cuisine and a fan of the dishes cooked by his mother and grandmother thus giving him inspiration for the menu plus some twist to entice your palate.
Bambu Cafe Bar and Events also gives opportunities to local talents as they are open for local bands to perform on the restaurant and local entrepreneurs as they have a corner for local products here in Batangas.
Chef. Abraham is very fond of Filipino food and a fan of the dishes of his mother and grandmother that he used to eat when he was a kid which gives him an idea of putting a twist on it.
Some of the recorded Best Seller food on their resto is the Tahong Sisig, Kalderetang Baka, Lechon Kawali with Bagoong Rice, Pininyahang Adobo sa Gata, Grilled Mackerel with Chatni sauce and Crispy Pata and for their dessert is the Kalabasa Cheese Cake, for their drinks they have Calamansi Basil Juice and Raspberry Iced Tea.
Aside from the stated menu, they also have a variety of scrumptious Filipino – inspired dishes where customers can choose what their stomach craves.
