Just when you thought you’ve already been to the best resorts here in Batangas, wait until you realize the answer to this question – have you been to Residencia de Riego & Resort in Alitagtag? Resort Facilities and Amenities
I adore the interior design of their rooms. In fact, I would want the same room for myself. It’s very comfy (perfect para sa mga antukin). Each room is airconditioned, has refrigerators, flat screen TV with satellite, and hot and cold shower. See our photos of the rooms on the image gallery below.
If you would just be staying for the day, you can choose to stay either on the kubo villas or the cottages. By the way, they have the Veranda and the Function Hall for corporate seminars, private parties, and other social events.
The resort has its own bar and restaurant. The design is very Filipino. Tables and chairs, as well as the bar, are made of wood which are all scrap materials of old houses from different places. Astig! The bar and restaurant furniture are all intricately designed by one of the owners. What about the food? Oh, the menu is a fusion of Filipino and international cuisine. You got to try their chicken binakol (it’s basically chicken tinola with coconut meat and the soup is all from coconut juice and not just water) and their pancit made of coconut strips (I don’t know how they call it but it’s delectable).
Don’t worry if you want to bring your own food for they don’t have corkage fees. Also, you can make use of the public grilling station. They have public comfort rooms and shower rooms as well. Sanitation is one of the main concerns of the resort management so you also don’t have to worry if you’re using the public toilet. And for personal needs, a convenience store is also located inside the resort.
The Red Pool (and sometimes Green, Violet, or Blue)
It’s probably Residencia de Riego & Resort ’s main attraction. Every night, their pools are like huge painter’s palette filled with water and tinted with paint. They have 12 color logic lights on the three swimming pools. Fantastic! But then you would only get to see this at night. We were just so delighted with this resort feature that we waited for the lights to turn on even if we started to feel cold as we were soaked in the water for almost three hours. The people loved it just as we did.
Residencia de Riego & Resort is not just a pool resort that would magnetize you with its swimming pool color logic lights feature. The resort brings in urban entertainment to an otherwise rural vacation spot. It has its own night life. As we were told, ‘parang Boracay dito kapag gabi’. The resort has centralized sound system, so you don’t have to be at the bar and resto for you to hear the live performances of the entertainers.
For daytime recreation activities, aside from swimming, you can enjoy singing your heart out on the videoke machines. You can also play sports and bond with your family or friends – do basketball, badminton, table tennis. For the busy people who would want to stay connected with the online world, relax, the resort is a Wi-Fi zone.
Family-Oriented
Residencia de Riego & Resort wants to keep everything and everyone safe, happy, and clean. Here, you can enjoy life’s pleasures without trying to fit into someone else’s shoes. In other words, kahit sino ka pa, kung gusto mong maging masaya, magagawa mo sa Residencia de Riego.
This is what I commend about the resort, hindi tinitipid ang guests at inuuna ang kapakanan ng mga bisita. You’ll feel safe and secured and still have the best form of enjoyment. The rates, I guess it’s safe to say that the rates are made for Classes A, B and C na rin. But once you avail the resort features and services, you’d realize na sulit naman.
Residencia de Riego is a must-visit resort. Experience fun and relaxing enjoyment in this newest addition to Batangas resorts. As a conclusion, I recommend that you stay over for a night and share your happiness with other guests because really, Residencia de Riego & Resort is one of the happiest places in the entire province.

Residencia De Riego is the best place when you want to have fun. Its good to know that after a week of super hectic schedule, we were able to have some REAL fun at Residencia. Everything we need is there! They’ve got super good food, (As in!) comfortable rooms, inviting pools with side fountains and logic lights and great entertainment. Eto pa, there’s wifi pa kaya tuloy na tuloy pa rin ang facebooking while in the resort. Super safe, sobrang linis at sobrang welcoming and accomodating ng lahat ng resort staff lalong lalo na si Sir Lyle Cajayon! Ang una kong kinamanghaan ay ang sliding gate sa main entrance, hehe. Ang dami mong mapapansin sa buong resort na talagang alam mong pinag-isipan ng may-ari. Residencia brought us a lot of surprises. Isipin mo ang isang disyerto na may maganda at relaxing na oasis sa kalagitnaan and you can compare that with Residencia de Riego & Resort. San ka makakaexperience ng swimming pool na may ilaw na pabago-bago dito sa Batangas? And then.. I love the rooms! Simple lang yet very comfy. I love how the colors blend and how each detail makes up a beautiful entity. And the food, geez! Sea food overload! Love it. Very good din dahil meron silang slipper/shoe rack bago mag-pool area. – Dyan
Sulit pumunta dito sa Residencia. Mababait ang staff, secure ang lugar, classy ang entertainment (may live band sila) at masarap at mura ang Filipino food. The resort exudes of convenience : hindi ka mapapagod para lamang sumaya. Ito ang resort na para sa buong pamilya.
