The list of relaxation or recreation spots around Metro Manila continues to lengthen as land owners would invest almost all their riches just to develop their properties and be known for the exquisiteness of their place and the uniqueness of the services they offer. Here in Batangas we have numerous resorts tourists from different parts of the country and the world could choose from. One of the newest additions is the Villa Crisanta Garden Resort in Brgy. Sta. Villa Crisanta, just like any other resorts, offers total leisure for its guests. But what sets it apart from all the resorts I’ve been to is the comfort it brings and the sense of belongingness it provides as what our own houses do (a realization to the statement “feel at home”). There are several rooms for the guests to check in: the Premiere Deluxe (African Tulip), the Casitas (Fire Tree, Blue Gum, and Golden Shower), the Banaba Suite, the Duluxe Rooms (Pink Tabebuia and Calachuchi) and the Main House, ideal for large family and groups of friends. On the first photo shoot of the WOWBatangas models, we stayed in the Pink Tabebuia. The outside is like the typical bamboo or nipa house in the province during the old days but the interior design has the modern vibe, still very laidback and comfortable.

We were also able to check out the Main House and I was astonished by how homey the interior design is. If in the future I would build my own house, I want something close to the look of the Main House, a fusion of Filipino and Mediterranean appeal.

In Villa Crisanta, you can never run out of activities to do, although the environment is so fitting for plain relaxation if you opt to just chill and bum around. May you be with your family, friends, workmates, or significant other, Villa Crisanta guarantees you of a range of bonding activities on your stay. I saw the billiard table outside the Main House and a videoke machine in almost every room. I heard there are horses and ponies you can ride on (per hour rate applies) and trampoline for the acrobat in you. For a real-life FarmVille experience, help save the Mother Earth by planting trees on the vicinity, feed the animals, or pick mangoes by yourself (if it’s on season, P100/kilo).

Aside from the activities mentioned above, Villa Crisanta is one ideal wedding venue. You can have it indoor and reserve the entire Pavilion for your grand wedding. If you like a garden wedding, you can choose either the Poolside Garden or the Garden by the Pond. Venues depend on the number of persons on your guest list. Aside from weddings, you can have other parties and family occasions, company meeting/outing or intimate gatherings in various event venues inside Villa Crisanta. Again, it all depends on the number of your guests matching the capacity of the venue. Three more venues include The Cabana Garden, The Gazebo, and the Formal Dining Hall. After party or hours of activities under the sun, the best way to go is of course, the spa. I can’t imagine such grand resort without a spa. It’s one of my favourite spots in Villa Crisanta. I was so attracted to the Balinese doorway which at first I thought was a huge mirror affixed on a door! The spa exudes an oriental atmosphere to set your mood for their recommended services. The steam bath in both massage rooms (male and female) also adds to your means of relief from stress and body pains. The ambience was so tranquil that you can only hear the sound of the bamboo wind chimes creating a harmony. The rates were reasonably priced you won’t be stressed when you see your bill.

Villa Crisanta Garden Resort is a must-visit place for everybody who wants to unwind, to rejuvenate, and to be reminded of how beautiful life really is – for it not just revitalizes your body, it is also an avenue for strengthening bonds with loved ones and being in touch with your inner self.
