It was early in the morning of July 21 that our team (the Communications Team: Miss D, Joel, me) and the Multimedia Team (Sir Alva, Reinier, Aris, Paul) met for our visit to Malvar Shrine located in Sto. Tomas.

Malvar Shrine or Miguel Malvar Historical Landmark is under the National Historical Commission; it showcases General Miguel Malvar’s life as depicted on the paintings, photos, and documents on display. Our visit there allowed us to get to know Gen. Malvar better, how he contributed to the Philippine History, and why the shrine is in Sto. Tomas and not in Malvar.

We stayed there for more than half an hour and after the interview with Mrs. Nelly Galicia the shrine’s OIC, we headed back to Lipa.

It’s sizzling sisig for lunch at SM City Lipa Foodcourt. The best part of the lunch? Spending GCs.

What’s next after lunch?

All of us where thinking what our next destination would be as we still have the rest of the afternoon to spend.

And then Reinier thought of this resort in Laiya called Llamar Beach Resort which he can contact. After a few minutes of debate, we all agreed to go to San Juan. We were fortunate because the owner of that resort gave us the opportunity visit their place.

From SM City Lipa, we rode Indai again and headed back on the road. It was an awesome road trip. We traced the roads with music playing inside the car, laughters filling in between gaps, and some exchanging of “banat” lines. We shared everything we could enjoy while we were on our way.

Fom Lipa City, we passed the roads of Padre Garcia and Rosario before reaching San Juan. As we go on our way, I enjoyed looking on both sides of the road because of the trees and rice fields that these towns have. Well I’m sure the whole team loved it, too.

It was about 1 hour and a half drive to Llamar Beach Resort. Though the weather was gloomy that day, the team still managed to enjoy our almost 3 hours stay in that humble yet comfortable resort. We took pictures of the resort to be used for the feature article.

Sad thing for me and Miss D, we weren’t able to swim (unpreparedness and girl thing here) unlike the boys who raced towards the beach for a good swim. However, we did enjoy eating and posing for the camera. Click.

At exactly 5PM we left the resort and headed back to Lipa.

We all went home happy and contented. Our road trip was great one. The day was filled with learning, relaxing, and strengthening a bond worth keeping.

P.S.
Thank you Aris, that road trip will not be possible (or comfortable) without your Indai.

Laiya, Batangas has always been a lure for beach- goers here in the Philippines. With its fine sand, and of course, Batangueno hospitality, one can’t go wrong with the offerings of Laiya.

July 21, the Communications and the Multimedia Teams of WOWBatangas, were in search for something refreshing (it was a frackin’ hot day) and we said, “Ta mag-Laiya na lang kaya?”

See, Laiya is a less-than-two-hour-drive from Lipa and Reinier knows a contact person to this particular beach resort there so “Why not?”, we told ourselves. We’ve been from Malvar Shrine, Santo Tomas after all, and we thought maximizing the fun of the day would just be logical thanks to Aris’ new found love, Indai.

And so we went. We boarded “Indai” (Aris’ car) and laughed and talked and laughed (again) our way to Laiya, San Juan.

And so we arrived.

We were welcomed by Orvil Impleo, an 18-year-old gentleman who also takes care of the place. He toured us on what I believe is one of the most comfortable beach resorts in Laiya.

Enter Llamar Beach Resort.

The resort’s name, as we have found out, is a combination of the surnames of the owners — Elsie Llana and Manny Marquez.

The Beach Front

Clear waters, fine sand, a view of Mount Daguldol and friends to share it with make the experience ethereal. Plus, some locals roam around to sell sea stuffs; I mean, we never bought one but the Daddy Octopus was a sight to behold indeed.

The Rooms

Orvil also toured us to all of the rooms. They have cottages, cabanas, apartments and dormitories which all have decent prices. The rooms range from 2-3 to 14-16 persons with prices that range from Php 1,500 to Php 9,000 — good for a gang of all sizes (and of all budgets) indeed.

All these accommodations are air-conditioned, double-size beds, toilet and bathroom. Amenities vary depending on the type of room you will reserve. Check-in time is 2:00PM, check-out time is 12:00 noon the following day.

Llamar’s Other Offerings

LLAMAR also has a pavilion that is located near the beachfront area, it is equipped with a bar and restaurant complete with tables and chairs that can accommodate up to 80 persons. The area ,too, can be reserved for private functions and events.

Affordable meals and drinks are available at the restaurant.

The resort may also do arrangements for banana boat rides, videoke machines for rent, jet skis, and other recreational activities.

We did enjoy the experience and we have copious amounts of jump shot photos to prove it.

“Why go to the beach when it’s the middle of the year?” you might ask.

It’s not that cold, my dear. Plus, the rates are down.

Literally. Looking for a place to stay in Lobo beach? We have the answer.

As promised, this is our separate post for the beach house we stayed at for the WOWBatangas Team Building last week, May 16 in Lobo. This is Butterfly Beach House.

The Butterfly Beach House is owned by Ms. Mary Ann Luz, Renz’s (our WOWBatangas Tours Marketing Associate) tita. We were able to avail of the free accommodation because of him and Ms. Mary Ann’s generosity.

It used to be a private beach house until Ms. Mary Ann decided to open the modest facilities to the public.

Butterfly Beach House Accommodations

Ventilated rooms furnished with fans (two rooms). Available for each rooms are beddings, toiletries, water heater, and WiFi connection (printing and mailing services are also provided).

The rooms cost from Php3000.00 to Php4000.00 overnight, maximum of four persons to a room. Rate for additional persons is Php250.00 each.

The open huts cost Php1,500 overnight for three people. Additional persons @ Php250.00 each.

Beach tables and tents cost Php 250.00 per day for four people, Php150.00 for additional persons

Other Amenities and Services

When you head to a beach, one of the things you would take time to do is to collect shells and stones, bring them home and instantly, you have souvenirs of your trip! In Butterfly Beach House, you will be provided with baskets for stone/shell collection. With the serenity of the Lobo beach, meditating or reading a good book are two more activities you can do here. They have a meditation and library corner by the way.

Free coffee and continental breakfast are served for the guests. And if you’re into organic diet, meals of such kind are also available upon request.

If you don’t know how to cook or you don’t feel like cooking, you can actually ask the staff to do the cooking for you. Each meal per person will be charged at Php50.00. For group of 15, a meal is charged at Php300.00.

You can also pay for laundry and grocery service. So tinatamad ka? Haha.

How to get to Butterfly Beach House

Via Batangas City At the STAR Toll-way take the Batangas City exit. Right after the tollbooth plaza take a left turn towards Batangas City. At this point follow the signboard that leads to Ponte Fino Hotel. After hitting the Ponte Fino Hotel just go straight and follow the main road. When you see the Fortune Cement Plant on your left side stay on the right. Taking the left road will lead to Taysan.

After taking a right just follow the road, and you are around 20 kilometers away from Lobo. You will hit a scenic winding narrow road – with approximately 183 curves. Upon reaching the town proper of Lobo, take the road leading to Fabrica.

You will go past the Rural Bank of Lobo (ATM machine available), the Lobo Municipal Hospital and then you see a chapel on the right, on the left you will see signs that say Gertel Beach. Take dirtroad and go all the way past Gertel Beach. If the road is blocked by a kawayan post, you may let yourself in and put the post down later. Go straight until you see an aqua colored fence with red bouganvillas and a white gate with BUTTERFLIES.

Here’s the backstory from Ms. Mary Ann Luz on how she acquired the property.

With no street number and no street name, I thought it practical to make the address Butterfly, Fabrica, Lobo.

The property is part of Gerthel Beach land holdings owned by Gerardo and Ethel Ramirez family. In the early 1970’s when I used to work at Far East Bank and Trust Company, my officemates and I spent two Holy Week breaks in that beach. We had parachutes over our heads and cots/sleeping bags.

The winding road to Lobo was gravel and dust at that time and it took almost three hours to travel from Batangas City.

My father used to run the Rural Bank of Lobo. The bank started operations there in 1962. We are to celebrate the golden anniversary of the bank 2012. The winding road is now cemented (45 minutes
from Batangas City). With warm and loving hospitality of Didi and Dettie Manansala’s open invitation to sleep at their lovely home (built for them by Dettie’s son who is now a Cardiologist in Australia), I found myself embracing Lobo.

Someone said it was about time I bought property there. As fate would
have it, Dra. Lita Sanchez took me to Fabrica. At that time, the only thing standing was the gate with butterflies and the perimeter walls and the owner’s name Felicitas Ginhawa. I liked the owner’s name and the butterflies.

It was a trip the whole WOWBatangas Team will never forget. The excitement and expectations were just prelude to the realization that Batangas is one blessed province with nature’s best abound. The vast sea, the curvaceous peninsula, the inviting sun – we had much of these wonders feeding our senses in this paradise called Dive Solana.

The team was fortunate to have the chance of experiencing Dive Solana, a resort situated in San Teodoro, Mabini, Batangas. Dive Solana sits along the stretch of diving resorts in Anilao. Partly secluded, guests would be ensured with privacy and the kind of escape they want to have away from the hustles and bustles of the metro.

The Resort

Dive Solana is a family owned resort under the management of Solana-Kaigan Inc. Currently, the resort has eleven full time employees and three dive masters from a diving concessionaire. Guests will have a comfortable stay in any of the 16 rooms in the resort -Beachfront Cottages (1-4), Hillside Cottages (5-10), Bahura Suite (11), Twin Rocks Suite (12-14), and the Beatriz Suite (15) and the Solana Suite (16), the two largest rooms in the resort both located in the clubhouse.

The resort underwent a massive facelift in July-December of 2009 and re-opened in January of this year. The buffet dining is one of the resort favorites. Of course, Dive Solana won’t be named as such if not for its premiere resort activity – scuba diving. Not only that, you can swim, snorkel, go kayaking, boating or island hopping. Learn more of all these as you read on.

Loving Dive Solana

We were just so amazed with how beautiful Dive Solana is. As I write this one, I try to bring back the accounts of our stay and how I want to turn those mental representations into something that would make you, as a reader, feel what we have experienced from our stay.

Once you reach the entrance of Solana (parking area is right here), you have to go down to several stairs before you reach the resort proper. Yes, your feet would tire and you’d have to catch your breath as you go down but it would only last for a few minutes because the moment you land on the reception area, your exhaustion will fade away with the place’s exquisiteness and natural charm.

We could not help but marvel on what we saw. It was like viewing something that popped out of a travel magazine, a world-class destination right in front of our eyes. And as we settled our selves, the sun and the sea started to allure us. But we had to put off our fervour for a later time. So we diverted to other activities we could do in the area. It’s a perfect place to enjoy a good book. Kids can draw or have fun in the playground. Plus, the clubhouse is a Wi-Fi zone so you can stay connected with the online world. And for the shutterbugs, there are a lot of interesting subjects you might want to capture in Solana.

The team was welcomed by the very amicable resort director, who shared with us more interesting facts about Dive Solana. After the resort tour, the team had the first Solana buffet meal – and this is what you call real gastronomic adventure! If you’ll have an overnight stay, you will have four buffet meals and a light snack. You don’t have to worry if you have food allergies or if you’re vegetarian. Solana has flexible menu. While eating, an easygoing music will play on the background, making your dining a more delightful experience. How’s the food? Well, it’s one of the reasons why the team never wanted to leave Solana. (See the reviews below)

The beach, sparkling with the afternoon sun’s rays, looked enticing. We gave in eventually. The team spent the rest of the afternoon on the beach – trading hours on swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, and picture taking. Unfortunately, we were not licensed divers so scuba diving was out of the picture (at least for now). It was, for me, the team’s most enjoyable afternoon to date. And I was just so glad it was in Solana. There were no signs of tiredness, or maybe they were just disregarded at that time due to the amusement that overwhelmed us. Ang araw na mismo ang sumuko sa amin.

As the day wound down, the atmosphere suddenly turned intimate. It’s the kind of feeling anyone would fall in love with: so relaxing, very cozy, very much like having your own paradise. True to the resort’s endeavor, we were able to experience how it is like to have a beach house. Solana’s best deal, aside from the fabulous facilities and amenities, is the actual resort experience itself. The friendly and very accommodating resort staff would pamper you with their warm and genuine service.

Dive Solana could be your own paradise for a day or for a week, depending on how long you could get over with its unrelenting comfort. It may be one of the high-end resorts in Anilao but it’s surely worth your hard-earned money. You might want to check the room rates and other resort details here.

Endowed with nature’s grace, this is one great place to have total relaxation. And as for the WOWBatangas Team, Dive Solana is definitely the sweetest escape.

WOWBatangas Team’s Review

More than its beauty, I was stunned by its sublimity. I could not help but praise God for His wonderful creations and for bringing our team to Solana. I could not contain the joy I had after spending great time in the resort. The view was more than magnificent. I could not actually think of exact words to describe what my naked eyes have witnessed. (How much more if I were able to see the sanctuary and the diverse marine life under the sea.) As for the food, certainly fit for king. Kudos to Roman for being such a great cook! All in all, the experience was perfect. Dive Solana is definitely one of the bestest places under the sun! -GERLIE

Dive Solana…I can tell so many things about the place but it’s only 10% of making you feel what a happy experience we had in this trip. I love, love the beach. Solana will give you an extravagant treat for the senses… What’s the best thing about Solana is the privacy and peacefulness of the resort’s vicinity. It’s like you own the place and you’d never want to leave. I fell in love with the kayak and the snorkel, the view of Tingloy and Sombrero Island across, and the resort’s bangus ala pobre. – DYAN

Batangas is a well known province in the south. Now, Batangas is making itself a landmark of tourism. One of these so called “tourism landmarks” is the town of Mabini. Two and a half hour drive from Manila to the municipality of Mabini, this town is indeed the cradle of of amazing marine life . In Mabini, you can’t help but fall in love with its awesome resorts, magnificent views and its breath taking blue waters.

Mabini is everything in the palm of your hand in which you can enjoy to the fullest with less budget - from cheaper resort to luxurious one. You can also enjoy its delicacies and different dishes of fresh caught seafoods.

This is certainly the perfect place of adventure. You can enjoy mountain hiking and reach Mabini’s highest peak, where you can see the perfect view of the all the greens and blues combined. You may also want to discover and be amazed while experiencing underwater world by scuba diving or simply by snorkeling. You may also feel awed with the thousand species and corals found in the waters of Mabini displayed in their museums and of course enjoy the sea and the sun through swimming, jet skiing and wind surfing.

Whether you are with your friends or family, Mabini is the perfect place for sharing moments even for a romantic getaway. Enjoy its facilities like swimming pools and Jacuzzi from different Mabini resorts. God-made landscape and man-made resorts had made this town more than a pradise indeed.

“Despite the long-hours of travel to Laiya, San Juan, one would still find it as a haven that would sure to ease stressors away.”

Among the remarkable places in Batangas province are the beach resorts in Laiya, San Juan Batangas. Laiya is an eco-friendly destination where citizens look after and enjoy the beauty of nature. There are so many activities in Laiya: trekking up in its Mt. Daguldol and site several bird species, snorkeling, diving in its marine sanctuaries, boating to spot dolphins and other marine lives. It has a shoreline of white sand roughly seven kilometers long with clear blue waters.

The place is just about two-hour drive from Batangas City proper and only a 140 kilometer drive from Manila. This place was said to be swift becoming a much loved tourist destination as it serves for an ultimate, wholesome getaway for all kinds of people who need a break from city life.

In Laiya San Juan, Batangas there are so many beach resorts to choose from. There are expensive ones and some are economical. There are some residential offers too especially during peak seasons in Laiya, where in the residents does offer their houses for guests with the lowest amount of Php2000.00 per day.

It was April last year when I first visit Laiya, San Juan. I was invited by someone to join with his family for an overnight swimming. It was actually unforgettable for me, a place with rocky roads yet a wonderful. I had a two-day stay in the place. During this first visit the roads going to those resorts in Laiya are dusty and rocky. These rock-strewn roads were just one of the former disadvantages of the place, yet when you have reached the beach area all your time spent in traveling will all be worth it.

After few weeks, it my family decided to experience the place. We stayed in an up and down house near the shoreline which we rented for Php7000.00 for two days. The house can accommodate more than twenty five persons just enough for our family’s clan. I saw my younger cousins enjoyed the whitish sand of Laiya, while the older ones enjoyed the clear blue waters of San Juan.

I just can’t resist the enchanting beauty of Laiya waters that on my 20th birthday, I invited my friends for a swimming party in Laiya. I was so surprised to see that the previous rough-roads of Laiya, were all gone. It was all fixed and cemented. It is more comfortable for us to travel now.

Last April 2009, I went again to this place with Ate Jenny, Kuya Ryan and Ate Jovy, which unfortunately we got to experience the hardship in looking for a good beach resort where we can possibly stay for the night until the next day. Since it was peak season, there is no vacancy on every beach resort we’ve visited; therefore what we did is we stayed in a residential house which is a bit far from the shore. That is why the residents in the place taught us that it was better if we had a reservation by next time. It was all fun although we find it very tiring and disappointing at first.

We stayed in the house for the night and we decided to look for an available cottage nearby the sea so we can stay there the following day. We searched a lot, and after an hour of searching we found a good one. I had fun searching for a cottage since we are just walking and walking on the whitish sand of Laiya. My friends and I decided to reserve the cottage we have found for tomorrow’s use.

Afterwards we returned in the house and ate our dinner at about eleven o’ clock in the evening. For that reason, we just had gone swimming at the beach by midnight. I enjoyed so much in view of the fact that I really love overnight swimming. Early in the morning, we decided to leave the house that we rented at as early as six o’clock. We were awakened up by somebody who sang in the videoke from the nearby house and it was really funny and a bit annoying.

Right after we transferred in the cottage near the sea shore we went swimming again, and by that time it was more fun. We have gone snorkeling which I really enjoyed so much! It was my first time to experience snorkeling which I was able to see the underworld. We stayed in the water snorkeling for an hour. Then we all went home by six o’ clock in the evening with happy thoughts on our minds.

Indeed Laiya, San Juan was really an inviting and comparable to world class beaches here and abroad which is just perfect for summer getaway for everybody.

There are more than a thousand and one things that we Batanguenos can be proud of, one of which is the Verde Island passage which is declared as the center of the center of Marine Shorefish biodiversity. This passage which is considered to be one of the most busiest sea lanes in the country can be found in between the provinces of Batangas and Mindoro.

The underwater reefs in the Verde Island passage are called home to nearly 60% of the worlds known shore fish. This is how American Biologists Kent Carpenter & Victor Springer of the World Conservation Union describes the Verde Island Passage in their recent study. Carpenter also said that the passage is the marine counterpart of the Amazon River Basin, making this dive site dubbed as “CENTER” of the center of the most diversed marine ecosystem in the world.

Sea turtles like hawksbills, olive ridley, and green turtles; humphead wrasses, giant groupers and giant clams are present in the Verde Island Passage. These are all considered to be threathened species which are close to extinction. However, there are no ordinances on the protection of these marine species and over-fishing in the area is common. A short-lived ‘park fee’ scheme for the Verde Island drop-off dive site was soon dropped when it was discovered that the revenue was being used to buy better fishing gear and hence removing fish at a higher rate. Humphead wrasses are especially threatened and divers often go years without spotting a single individual. It was particularly noted the rare red fin wrasse (Cirrhilabrus rubripinnis) thrives in Verde Island.

Moreover, the area has more than 300 species of corals, which is considered one of the largest concentrations of corals in the country or even in the whole world. Coral health is generally good, though the effects of global warming and increased pollution, may still lead to drop in diversity.

The 2006 declaration urged President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to launch the first National Biodiversity Conference in Verde Island Resort in Batangas City. By the way, Isla Verde is a barangay of Batangas City. The said confab was also in cooperation with Department of Environment and Natural Resources and other 300 participants from private, government at non-government organizations, and the academe.

Meanwhile the aim of the Philippine Biodiversity Conservation Priority-setting Program, is to create a concrete protection and conservation programs to be executed in the areas near the Batangas bay.

It was reported that the Philippines is one of the only two countries in the world which are considered to be “world’s megadiversity country and biodiversity hotspot”, the other one is Madagascar. It is more than a good news right? But then, having the center of the center of marine shorefish biodiversity is a big responsibility. There is a call for all of us to act and save this wonderful gift of nature.

It is said that “Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand to it. Whatever he does to the web he does to himself” and with this, the conservation of the rich biodiversity of our very own Verde Island passage, is in our hands.

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo attended the inauguration of the newly-completed Port of San Juan. The said port and road was built in order to provide a better transport facilities and livelihood services for the people and Southern Tagalog through the Roll-On, Roll-Off Strong Republic Nautical Highway (SRNH).

According to reports, San Juan Mayor Danilo Mindanao said that the opening and development of the Port of San Juan in Barangay Subukin, just 10 minutes drive from the popular Laiya Beach Resorts here, is expected to increase the levels of living of the residents and will make Laiya as an alternative tourist destination.

“The development of the Port of San Juan is a testament to the successful efforts of the national government to provide better transport facilities and services to my constituents. The Port is envisioned to realize the gains of the Strong Republic Nautical Highway,” Hon. Mayor Mindanao stated.

The port will play a very vital role to the economic progress of San Juan because it will boost the trading partnership of San Juan town with Marinduque, Romblon, Mindoro and Masbate through the use of ro-ro vessels. Also, the Laiya road project will certainly help San Juan tourism for it will attract more tourists to come and have fun at the nearest white beaches from Manila, which can be found only in Laiya.

On hand who assisted the President in the inaugural drive-thru and unveiling rites were: Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto, 1st District Rep. Eileen Ermita-Bonoan, 4th District Rep. Mark Llandro Mendoza, 3rd District Rep. Victoria Reyes, 2nd District Rep. Hermilando Mandanas, Mayor Mindanao and Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) general manager Oscar Sevilla, and among others.

Completed in 2006 with a total project cost of P43,642,242.38, the port covers the construction of rock causeway (9.0m x 378m), Ro-Ro ramp (11m x 9m), access trestle (42m x 9m), breasting dolphin or docking protectors (2 sets), mooring and fendering system, and port lighting system. (Official Website of the Republic of the Philippines)

Being an integral part of the Batangas City-Lucena City Coastal Road, the improvement of San Juan Laiya Road is aimed to promote the Batangas-Quezon Eco-Tourism destination.

Meanwhile, one of the important sections of the San Juan-Laiya Road is the Aplaya Section, where famous and beautiful beach resorts of international standards are located, such as the Aquatico Resort, Kabayan Resort, Blue Coral Resort, Palm Beach Resort, Sea Escape Resort, Sabangan Resort, Virgin Beach Resort, Porto Laiya Beach Resort.

And to further promote the beach resorts in Batangas, the country’s top land developers like Landco Pacific and Active Group, are putting up residential-resorts community, golf courses and hotels.

Started on March 2008 and completed on Sept. 2008 at a total cost of P60 million, the Laiya Aplaya Road Section features a two-lane carriageway with drainage and shoulders on both sides, with a length of 3.50 km

Lastly, aside from the inauguration of the Port of San Juan, PGMA also led the ceremonial drive-thru of San Juan Laiya Road project that would further enhance the booming tourism industry in Batangas.

Geared up your auto breaks going to the vicinity at the southeastern tip of Batangas lies a seven kilometers trip of white sand beach situated along the stretching coast of Island passage. Because of its proximity to cities of Manila, Batangas and Quezon, this beach called Laiya located at Batangas first class Municipality of San Juan became a popular destination for weekend retreats and corporate excursions were midst of clear blue waters and fine white sand as you wanted to experience serenity.

For only three-hour drive away from those hustle and daily excruciating life from the wide metropolis Laiya Aplaya is the best place for your weekend retreat Hang out.

Visibly located along the wide strip is the numerous resorts from upscale budget accommodation which are mainly known to local tourist. A combination of privately owned homes and resort facilities are made to serve the desires of its residents and guests. Visitors can enjoy beach activities a midst lush natural landscaping and charming tropical beach homes. Parents can enjoy watching their children while building sand-castles and experiencing the rushing of waves on their feet for the first time. The only noises are the lapping waves, rustling leaves and the occasional call of the local fishermen to partake of the catch of the day.

If you come to stay for a few days, don’t expect “a la carte” in your resort’s restaurant. Dining is mostly buffet. A few foreign dishes is served but the majority of eating pleasure in most resorts is Filipino. Options such as bringing a picnic basket and renting an open shed are enough for day trippers. Those who don’t have time to prepare, however, may avail some of the resorts’ lunch packages which are already inclusive of shed and entrance fee.

Aside from swimming, snorkeling, boating, and kayaking, not much water activities are available in Laiya. Diving and other hi-tech water activities are not yet facilitated unless interested tourists request to be chartered to Anilao, a diving sanctuary at the other side of the coast, or to the famous diving destination- Verde Island. Although Laiya’s main attraction is its long strip of white beach, other sport if options can be found in its interiors, such as its hidden coves, falls and thick forested mountains where trails have been appreciated best for mountain biking and trekking.
