This was how our morning started. It’s SM City Lipa’s 3-Day Sale! Whoopee for shoppers with money to spend, right? For the budget-conscious ones, sale season is like hunting season. You get the best buys — great items with huge percentage slashed off from the actual price.

The many faces of SM City Lipa shoppers

When it’s a mallwide sale, expect shoppers from various parts of Batangas and the nearby provinces to packed the mall and have their own share of dizziness after hours of searching for the best buys.

Of the hundreds or thousands of people coming in and out from different stores and entrances and exits of SM City Lipa, you would see countless of faces. See our photos and video for evidences.

The Mother Shopper

Oops. Haha. Moms are the best shoppers in the world. Categorically speaking. Do dads have the same patience for rummaging over the piles of clothes and other stuffs to find (for the 3rd time here) the best buys?

Moms, being the ones who often manage the family budget, they know which items should be picked and be brought to the counter.

The Carrier

Dad’s turn. After mom got the (again) best buys and maybe some more extras, dad will do his job and that is to carry all the bags from mom’s shopping adventure.

The Screaming Child

Oh, don’t blame the kid for screaming his patience out. Haha. Can you imagine their boredom and restlessness if you take them to the Department Store? Well, if you take them to Toy Kingdom, it’s the parents who’ll have hell time.

Students. In school uniforms. Roaming around the mall area. Period.

Who says grandpa and grandma are exemptions for the super mallwide sale? And there are quite a number of senior citizen couples earlier. They are the ones who test the memory skills of sales persons and security guards with all the directions they ask of the stores and items they are looking for.

When I’m at the mall, my imaginary keyboard often does its work. What do I mean? I run stories in my mind, create stories for people I see around. Weird or scary? Nah, it’s just plain old fun. Nakakainip kasi mag-mall kung di ka naman nagsho-shopping. Laughs.

The Best Buys

For mallwide sale like this SM City Lipa 3-Day Sale, you should know what and where the great finds are.

TIP: If you know the mall will have a sale coming soon, scout for the items you want to buy so that when the sale period comes, you know right away where to head.

Best buys for 3-Day mallwide sale period are clothing, shoes, bags, kitchenware, beddings, and home appliances.

Especially if they’re slashing 50%-70% off from these items, grab the chance. You can buy branded clothes for as low as P150 (basic tee) and a pair of pants for P499!

Shoes. I know ladies get too excited come sale period. You can get a gorgeous pair of heels for P499 and even for as low as P299!

There’s also a Grand Home Sale at the SM City Lipa Department Store which will be running until the end of August. If you want new kitchenware or bedroom pieces, don’t miss this sale.

3-Day Sale Treats

You can have the chance to win 1 of the 4 Devant LEDTech LCD TVs to be given away in the raffle draw. For Department Store shoppers, a single receipt purchase worth P1000 is equal to a raffle ticket which can win you a Macbook Air.

One of the best deals naman at SM Appliance Center is that for a 42″ LED TV that you would buy, you would have a FREE LCD TV. A particular brand offers this (no paid advertisement here, haha).

SM City Lipa Foodcourt is also giving away some treats. For at least two 16 oz or 20 oz of Nestea Iced Tea, you can have a free tumbler. And for a minimum purchase receipt of P200, they’ll give you a free dessert (this runs until Sept. 15).

When it’s super sale, I know one of vehicle owners’ main concern — the parking space. But if you are a SM Advantage Card (SMAC) holder, there’s a reserve space for you in Parking 3.

Wear flats or flip flops and comfy clothes, eat before shopping, and make sure your valuables are safe. With these, you’re ready for the 3-Day Sale!
